At Films by Francesco, we focus on creating films in an artful, cinematic and intimate way. From the beginning, our boutique cinematography company has relied on the referrals of clients, planners and great photographers, making us the only option for clients who otherwise would never consider having a cinematographer at their event. Films by Francesco pioneered the term ‘film’ in reference to weddings, creating a narrative of memory, an intimate glimpse into the day’s events, not a production. We work in a true documentary style ( no steadicams, gliders, or re-creating events ) and in this way are able to capture a true and natural narrative of a bride and groom’s day.

Francesco and his team of associates have filmed events worldwide, including the weddings of David Krumholtz & Vanessa Britting, Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton, Joanna Garcia & Nick Swisher, Nicole Richie & Joel Madden, and most notably, Chelsea Clinton and Mark Mezvinsky. Keeping our studio small has allowed us to maintain a personal connection with each of our clients, and offer a product with unique and unmatched aesthetic.

About Francesco:
Born and raised in New York City’s West Village, Francesco found himself captivated by his father’s work in film, and the burgeoning introduction of video. His self-taught approach, combined with studies at Parsons and the New School, helped shape his artistic style and desire to refine the art of digital filmmaking. Francesco’s inherent talent and unique aesthetic is reflected in every project, and clearly stands apart from the industry standard.

About Michele:
Michele, an NYU trained writer, met Francesco in 1999. Though her academic background is grounded in the arts, her career path had taken her far into the culinary and event industry. As a sommelier, restaurant manager, and event planner, Michele’s combined experiences of art, culture, and food would take an unexpected turn into the world of cinematography.
